Last night I went to bed with spring and all things alike; I can’t wait to start exploring the outside world with my curious little girl. I just noted how nice it is to see the grass again, and found several budding trees on a weekend walk. Alas, this morning, I woke up to what seemed a horrible flashback to the start of winter. At least a half foot of snow and growing. I guess wishin’ and hopin’ for sun-kissed skin will have to do for now. I do live in Wisconsin afterall.
In light of this yucky (though beautiful to look at), weather I decided to share one of my beautiful family sessions from this passed summer! I love the bright colors from this session, they just scream warmth! Dan and Amy came to me after Dan’s mom bought them a gift certificate for a photo session for Christmas. It was a lovely gesture and they were so thankful of her for doing it. When you buy a gift certificate for someone to get portraits, you are giving a gift that will last forever. It’s literally a gift that keeps on giving! I think it’s a great idea, and I’m surprised people don’t do it more often.
I met Dan, Amy, Violet and Charlotte at Burke Park in Sun Prairie. It was a beautiful June afternoon, and the girls were full of spunk and energy. They kept me on my toes while Amy and I talked all things baby and marveled over little Charlotte’s crooks and creases! She was just turning one, and was about to take of walking any moment. I had a great time capturing the loving bond between all four of them, which I think is really evident. Enjoy!
