Madison Newborn Photographer: Evan 5 days new

Lindsay and Brett welcomed their little one into the world this past Saturday after a long awaited arrival.  This little guy was just plenty comfortable inside his mommy’s belly, and now all he wants is to be in her arms.  Evan was just five days new when I met him this week, and he is simply divine.  There is something about the wrinkly skin, weakly whimpers and new baby smell that will melt just about anybody’s heart.  This little guy has sure stole his mom and dad’s!  I spent Wednesday morning at Evan’s house listening to Evan’s birth story and trying to get him to be still for a few good shots.  This little guy has already got an awesome personality, let’s just say he wasn’t feeling the camera that morning!  I could hardly get his little body to sit still, and he LOVED sucking on his hands.  He didn’t take his eye off of me but for maybe a  few seconds, and he loves being in mom and dad’s arms.

One thing I love about this family is how thoughtful they are.  Not only in their day to day life, but about family, friends, and the important things in life.  When I arrived Lindsay had gathered together a few items that were important to her, or her family, or had meaning in some way.  I LOVE when ya’ll do this, because not only does it give me something new to get creative with; it makes your pictures more meaningful to you!  A few of those items were Brett’s (Evan’s daddy) own baby blanket that he used as a baby; a stuffed bear with a guitar that Lindsay’s dad (Evan’s grandpa) saved for years to give to his very first grandson; and a beautiful quilt that a dear friend made for them. Also, Lindsay and Brett are avid sports fans so they gathered a baseball and football onsie, along with some sporting items they they liked.  When I say avid, I mean like Lindsay was seriously at a Wisconsin Badger  basketball game 41 weeks and 2 days pregnant!  It was so fun hearing their stories and capturing these memories for Evan to look back on in years to come!

Thank you Lindsay and Brett for welcoming me into your home, and lives, once again.  And for allowing me to be a part of such a precious time in your lives!! Congratulations!!
