Madison Wisconsin Maternity photography {Waiting on Mila}

Shannon is due in just less than four weeks with their first baby.  I went into this session not quite knowing what to expect with her frantic “I’m so swollen,” “I hope you know how to turn your camera to make me skinny!” emails…but I rang the doorbell, and waited while she got her excited pup to settle, and when she opened the door I couldn’t believe how amazing she looked!

It was a on again/off again rainy day and while I knew we were going to get some indoor pictures, I wasn’t quite sure what to expect when we decided to head outside–I could only hope the rain would give up to a rainbow filled sky or dreamy sunset.  It often happens that when I’m not totally thrilled with our session weather prospects I get some of the best images yet.  This was totally one of those days–from the light being diffused by clouds for our indoor photos, to killer clouds, a rainbow and an amazing sunset.

Congratulations Shannon and Tyler.  Thank you for letting me into your lives to capture such a beautiful and magical time in your lives!

  • Shannon - Love!! This was such a great experience. I still cannot believe how much we did in such a short amount of time. These pictures truly capture what’s happening in our lives. I can see pain in my face in some as I was having Braxton Hicks contractions. I barely recognize my body but I’m so glad it’s captured in all it’s glory. I’m so pleased we choose Kaitlyn to capture this special time in our lives. This was the last big thing on our check list….We are officially ready for you baby girl.ReplyCancel
