Off to The Sunshine State!

Happy Monday ya’ll!

Hope you had a good weekend full of fun and family, and good food.  The Hansen household had a low-key but nice weekend.  Ryan’s parents came for a visit on Saturday which ended in a lovely meal at a local Mexican restaurant.  And while we watched the Superbowl on Sunday we weren’t too invested, aside from the pool we were in but sadly didn’t win 🙁  We splurged on cheese, crackers, and beef sticks and had a little three person party on the couch!

It was a lovely way to transition into Monday, where my bare-feet landed on the scale and I jumped back on the get-fit wagon. Hubby and I started weight watchers in October.  However, the holidays really took us back a few steps. We took a trip to Florida to visit my parents, and they make good food. So we agreed not to get on the scale until February giving ourselves a month to lower the blow of holiday weight gain and not be too discouraged.  And so, today marks the second beginning of operation get healthy.  I am about 9 pounds away from my prebaby weight (not too bad considering I gained 60+ with the preeclampsia and all), and I would like to loose at least 20 more pounds before my best friends wedding in May.

My one and only personal new year resolution was to do couch to 5K successfully.  I started a few weeks ago, but mother nature has put a damper on my progress.  I made an agreement with myself, that when it’s 15 degrees or below (assuming there isn’t a bad windchill) I will run outside.  But when it is 15 or below, I do the elliptical inside, which I don’t count toward my couch-to-5K program.

I am also excited because today I am one step closer to another goal for the year.  I would really like to book a few photo-sessions in beautiful Florida while I’m there throughout this year!  So, I decided to offer 5 mini sessions this spring!  Each session will be about an hour long at a location of the clients choice, and will include a DVD of digital images for personal use, an online gallery for viewing, sharing, and ordering!  I super stoked!! Hopefuly ya’ll are too!!  Nothing beats a Florida sunset!
