Lake Mills, Wisconsin newborn photographer {Nora}

Meet Nora.  This little bundle was just nine days new when I met her, and she couldn’t have been any sweeter.  Katie contacted me long before her due date–and then coincidentally was scheduled for a C-section so we didn’t have any surprises!  It worked out great for everyone and I’m so happy I was able to spend the morning with them within the 10-day-new time period.  It was so fun meeting Nora, but she didn’t hold a match to big sister Joy.  Joy is 2 years old and FULL of energy, and was a wonderful helper.  Katie and Nic have got their hands full, but handled going from parents of one to two, flawlessly.  Joy and Nora are some seriously lucky girls!

Aside from the excitement of photographing this beautiful family, I had a little personal moment as well.  I’d been waiting for it to happen.  The moment when I suddenly ached for a new baby of my own.  The coos and faces.  And that smell and that feeling of awe over what you’ve created.  I was sort of worried it wouldn’t hit me again (after everything that I went through with Tessa), and so when Katie placed Nora in my hands for the first time that morning and I felt that achey adoration for her sweet little girl I was sort of relieved.  Now I’ve got it–baby fever 😉
