And since these lovelies haven’t hit the blog yet, (because my little one decided to arrive a few days after this wedding) I will take this opportunity to share their beautiful day 🙂

Megan and Chris shared a magical day this summer in Lake Geneva at  The lodge at Geneva Ridge.  They were surrounded by love that was truly palpable and parents bursting with pride.  They met a few winters ago, at an ugly sweater party–but Megan couldn’t look ugly if she tried.  A few years later, their wedding took place in August, amidst one of the hottest Wisconsin summers on record–but the second I stepped foot in the parking lot, a cool breeze swept through the sky and I witnessed people with sweaters sighing in relief.  Their angels were truly watching over them as the blue sky made way for a a light breeze as Megan made way to her groom, and he made first glance at the bride he was about to receive. The night was filled with joy, sorority serenades, friends and family.  Dancing, glow sticks and fabulous desserts.  But above all, love.  And that is something I will remember most about their day–the care, thoughtfulness, and love that overcame The Lodge at Geneva Ridge, that beautiful August day. (Oh, and that it was shark week.  Because as Megan’s brother pointedly noted as he addressed his big sister that night. . . “Welp, it’s here, the day we’ve all been waiting for.  … The premiere of Shark week on Discovery channel.”)   🙂
