This cutie was a total fan of getting her photos taken!  From our initial contact I got nothing but smiles and exploration from her–it was perfect!  And you guys, when I get a perfectly plump infant in your studio, it makes my job so easy!  It doesn’t take much to get an adorable baby shot <3 <3 <3

I was lucky enough to be able to capture her newborn photos 6 months ago, but she wasn’t as big a fan, so I didn’t know what to expect.  I’m so glad mom decided to do some 6 month photos in my at-home studio because little P totally made up for it!

I’m not going to lie.  This year had me all wound up just a few months ago.  I couldn’t fathom another year like last, with a new baby and almost 4 year old at home with me all day!  But here we are already in February (um, January, where’d ya go?!) and I am reenergized, excited and humbled by the year to come!

First things first. I’m having a baby!! A real, live, kicking, crying, sleep sucking breathing baby.  I am due in April and we are starting to get really excited about this really actually happening.  It’s become less of a scary heath matter for me and more like another chapter of our lives that won’t stop the world from turning…it only took 28 weeks to get there, but I’m there!  And we can’t wait to bring Tessa’s little sister into this crazy life!

That said, I still have a few sessions left through March if you are looking for soonish.  Otherwise, I’ll be picking back up in June.

Have you seen my new website?!  I’ve attempted to make booking as seamless as possible…You can see my availability for the ENTIRE year now and reserve your session by the click of a button.  Once you reserve your session through my website I will email you with a link to the contract and retainer fee; once that is completed, your date is set!  Easy peasy.

Also, please take note of all my investment options as some things have changed.  All my sessions will still include the images and printing rights–however, they will all be downloaded by you.  After I deliver your online gallery, I will send you a separate link that has all your images for download.  No more waiting for mail, you will get them instantly! I have also added several different session options–including milestone mini-sessions for one and in studio portraits for a more affordable update of your kids’ photos!

Finally, I am so happy to have heard from so many of you again already–and some new friends too! Please remember, your session is not 100% reserved until I receive the contract and retainer fee.  I will send a couple reminders before reopening the date, but please do so ASAP!

Here’s to another great year with all of you awesome people!

maternityI met up with this beautiful couple on a gorgeous Wisconsin winter day; snowless and warm.   December 20th, and 47 degrees was not what we had hoped for in planning for the session, but secretly I think we lucked out because this momma-to-be didn’t have to freeze her tush off to get great shots in the awesome outfit she prepared to show off the baby bump!

Their story is so sweet. She fell in love in 5th grade, and by 8th he’d decided he liked her too. By prom of 12th, they decided to make it official and he… proposed!  True school sweethearts.  12 years later, they are waiting on their sweet baby girl.  And what a story they have to share with her…I just love thinking about her hearing that story from her parents some day and understanding that true love exists. The sweetest!!

I can hardly believe this little peanut is already ONE!  I feel like I just took her newborn pictures…like, yesterday!  She is such a little bundle of happiness and love, its hard not to just smile when your around her, and the fact that she is somewhere in-between the size of a ‘typical’ three to six month old it really just makes you want to SQUEEZE HER!

Vivian was born with Turner Syndrome.  A chromosomal condition that occurs in 1/2000 live female births.  This means, that she is simply missing an X chromosome–in result, there are some physical anomolies associated with the syndrome as well as some physiological.  One of them, is a growth impediment and or short stature in general.  Hence, this sweet peanut’s size!  (If you’d like to learn more about Turner Syndrome, please visit http://www.turnersyndrome.org–knowledge is power!)

I was so happy to have them over to my new in-home studio to capture some images of this point in her journey!  I initially intended for the studio to be a better solution to newborn photos than going on-location, but quickly interest grew and Wisconsin winters really pushed me in this direction.  So here we are–in the studio–what was once a spare 10×12 bedroom in my basement–making memories!!
